Reviewed : Bajaj Indian Home Stay, Karol Bagh, Delhi

Recently I visited Delhi for a day. I had a meeting to attend. Since it was one day visit & schedule was tight. I decided to arrive Delhi early morning & leave Delhi very same day for Manali, as soon as I finish my meeting. I usually prefer Hotel Inn Tawang in Karol Bagh, as I like the atmosphere of this Hotel & its quite nice Hotel in Budget Category. Unfortunately it was Sold Out. So I started searching for another Hotel in Karol Bagh & Paharganj area. I usually prefer Karol Bagh, as area is well connected to Karol Bagh Metro Station & nearby Metro Station area is posh.
So while searching for a good Hotel I came across Bajaj Indian Home Stay in Karol Bagh. I was aware of this Home Stay or Hotel you can say. It was just near Hotel Inn Tawang. I didn't took a second thought after reading few reviews I decided to book this Hotel.

I booked a Deluxe Room on CP plan (Free Breakfast) costed me less than 3500 INR inclusive of all taxes. Unfortunately the voucher which I received had no contact number of the Hotel. I had to search in Google for the contact number. It was kind of first bad impression.

One should always remember to call the Hotel & confirm booking personally after booking through online websites or any other Travel Agent.

I always call the Hotel & inform them about my visit & confirmed my booking. I told them specifically that I will Check In early morning at 6 AM, as I'm coming via Volvo from Manali which will drop me early morning between 5 AM to 6 AM. I will be in Hotel for hardly 2-3 Hours & will Check Out after Breakfast  at 9 AM. So just keep the room ready & I don't want to waste my time.
I'm very strict when it comes to service part.

I reached Delhi at 6 AM early morning, took a Metro from Kashmere Gate to Karol Bagh via Rajeev Chowk. Unfortunately in hurry I took opposite metro & ended up wasting 30 minutes, as Metros are not frequent early morning. So finally reached at 7AM at Hotel.

From Outside it looks like a typical House of Delhi. But when you go inside the rooms, staff each & everything is pretty much like Hotel.
Its well maintained property. Each & every thing from reception to rooms looks perfect.

I'm not able to memorize the name of the rooms but yes I was given " The Mughals ".
Its feels very good when you hear, " Sir, we are giving you The Mughals. Hope you will like it." I mean in the name only you feel it so Royal that you feel like a valuable customer.

The moment I entered the room, it made me feel so Royal. The room was very simple but looks so royal.

Room View

Though I was expecting a 12" mattress or at least close to it. But ok fine. Maybe I expected too much Royal. I was little tired, had a overnight journey of straight 12 Hours. I crashed into bed with alarm of 8:30 AM. Had a sound sleep, bed was very much comfortable & so were the Pillows.
But somehow I woke up at 8 AM & couldn't sleep after that.

I also couldn't stop noticing the roof.

Roof View

Each and everything was so neat and clean that you can't find any dirt mark in room whether its bed-sheets or the walls.
I was running out of time. I stepped into bathroom for freshen up. Bathroom also looked perfect.

Bathroom
I was bit disappointed at bathroom part when it came to use. Though it looked perfectly fine. I noticed a left over Soap which probably went unnoticed by room service. Apart from that the outlet of bath tub was either not connected properly or the outlet pipes were not big enough to throw away used water from bath tub. All the used water was getting accumulated in bathroom near bath tub area which was coming out of bath tub only. Didn't had time to figure out from where it was coming, nor I was interested but it wasn't hygienic.
I got dressed up & headed for Breakfast. Looking at Breakfast made me realize that they have lots of foreign clients. They had typical English dominated breakfast. White Bread, Butter, Jam, Eggs, Potatoes and Macaroni. It was indeed very tasty food. Though I didn't interacted with staff much but Manager available was indeed very polite. The Manager also told me about roof top restaurant & suggested its great place to have dinner.
At  9AM I checked out from Bajaj Indian Home Stay. Promising myself that I will visit it again.

Overall I enjoyed my stay here.

I would rate 4 out of 5 stars.

    1. Hahaha...

Indeed it is. Bathtubs require separate drain pipe or either drain pipe should be big enough to drain water without creating back force.
